The covid-19 situation in Lapland is still fairly good and we will be able to organize the Saariselkä MTB Stages as planned.

Entering Finland

Entering Finland is possible without any health security measures if you arrive from a ”green” area or country. The up-to-date list of green areas can be found here.

As of 9th August the lists consists of the following countries and areas: Albania, Australia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hong Kong, Hungary, China, Macao, Poland, Romania, Taiwan, New Zealand and the Vatican, and the Norwegian municipalities of Storfjord, Kåfjord, Nordreisa, Kautokeino, Karasjok, Tana, Nesseby and Sør-Varanger.

If you are arriving from a high risk country, you can enter Finland with following conditions.

No mandatory testing, if

  • You are born in 2005 or before,
  • You are fully vaccinated, or
  • You have recovered from covid-19 within the past 6 months.

If you are not vaccinated and you don’t have a proof of recovering from covid-19, entering Finland is only possible with covid testing. Tests are taken in Ivalo health care center and testing is free of charge.

We are happy to help you, if you need assistance with arranging covid tests.
