Track
The track runs along the gravel and forest roads around Saariselkä. Along the way, there will be some short tarmac sections aswell as some forest trails. The trail map will be published in detail one week before the event.
Saariselkä is located in the fell area of Northernmost Finnish Lapland. The village is surrounded by two big wilderness areas – Urho Kekkonen national park and Hammastunturi wilderness area. The roads run through the arctic forest and fell sceneries. Also some major climbs and descents will be included in the trail.
In true gravel spirit, the race tracks will not be marked. We will share the GPX-file of the track, and each participant should have a GPS device that is able to follow the track.
It is allowed to participate the race with any kind of bike, from fatbikes to cyclo-cross bikes and everything in between.
